Shadowing Expectations

  • Professional Conduct: Maintain strict compliance with patient privacy policies (HIPAA) and institutional guidelines at all times.
  • Punctuality & Preparation: Arrive on time for scheduled rotations and review relevant medical terminology or specialty basics beforehand.
  • Professional Dress Code: Wear business casual or clean scrubs as required by your host facility. Always display your ID badge if provided.
  • Active Learning: Observe quietly during active patient encounters, reserving questions for appropriate breaks between visits.

Application & Registration Guidance

  1. Create a Profile: Fill out your academic details, target healthcare field, and current availability.
  2. Upload Documentation: Ensure immunization records, safety orientation certificates, and background checks are submitted if required by host facilities.
  3. Request Rotations: Browse open shadowing slots by specialty and location, then submit your request.
  4. Log Your Hours: After completing a session, log your hours in the dashboard to request verification from your host clinician.
